Professional system : docmeeting™
The docmeeting system is a Web-based environment to discuss and publish documents. Unlike e-mail and attachment exchanges, with poor knowledge retrieving and sharing capabilities, docmeeting enables people to work together more efficiently. docmeeting allows peer-to-peer discussions, right in the context of documents. Users can effectively retrieve data or post new documents and comments in searchable collections (i.e. weblogs, workspaces and knowledge bases).
Benefits :
- Reduce e-mail and attachment processing
- Speed up document revision procedures
- Enhance the quality of documents and comments
- Retrieve data from indexed collections (knowledge bases)
- Facilitate meeting organization, project management and document evaluations
- Contact the right people, right in the context
Features :
Comments within the context of documents
- View comments related to a paragraph in the text
- Link general comments and discussions to documents
Asynchronous communication
- Publish comments on the web, readers can ask for clarification and build a shared understanding
- Users can be notified whenever a comment is posted, either by RSS, email/SMS or on their collection home page
Dynamic processing of documents and comments
- Extract comments and related quotes from a document (hot topics aggregation)
- Select comments using sort and filter tools
Indexed collections of documents and comments
- Publish 3 types of documents in collections:
- files e.g. Word, pdf, Excel, images, audio, video, etc.
- HTML edited e.g. memos, messages, abstracts, etc.
- Web pages copied from the Internet or Intranet
- Retrieve data from document contents, titles, comments, annotated passages, dates, URL, etc.
